How Does a Pressure Transducer Work?

A pressure transducer measures the pressure of liquids or gases and converts this information into an analogue electrical signal proportional to the pressure applied. It typically consists of a pressure-sensitive element that deforms under pressure and an electrical component that converts this deformation into an electrical signal.
